August 3, 2019 @ 7:30 am - 12:00 pm
The traditional Dayton Muddler is a unique 4-mile muddy adventure course through the historic Town of Dayton. The race supports our Nation’s military personnel who suffer injuries of the mind, body, or soul by supporting Boulder Crest Retreat with the funds raised through registration and sponsorship.
Participants are known as “Muddlers,” and will encounter a variety of obstacles such as mud pits, walls, cargo net climbs, balance beams, bucket carries, and more woven through the Town of Dayton, our fields, and streams, AND we even offer a variety of challenges beyond the traditional Dayton Muddler course.
Half Marathon (with Muddler addition option)
The 2019 season will see our second ½ Marathon (Yay!!)…and you will finish feeling like you’ve run an entire marathon. The course winds through our beautiful countryside, is rarely flat, and portions of the course traverses gravel roads. The Muddler ½ Marathon starts at 7:30 AM to help keep you from the heat of the day. This is recommended only for those who train for such runs. The Muddler ½ Marathon is not through the Muddler adventure course. IF YOU FEEL UP TO IT, 100 slots will be made available for those also wishing to participate in the traditional Dayton Muddler portion of our event after you run the ½ Marathon – which would be pretty hard core of you. Children under 15 must be accompanied by a guardian 18 or older, and this must be certified during registration.
Our Traditional Dayton Muddler Youth Division returns for children under the age of 15. Children younger than the age of 13 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A GUARDIAN 18 OR OLDER, and this must be certified during registration. There are 2 youth divisions this year. 12-15 and 11-under.
The Corporate cup has become very popular, so if you are part of a business, put a 5 person team together (at least 1 member of an opposing gender) for a highly competitive event with the winning team holding a trophy and bragging rights for a year!
All events are timed, and awards are given to the fastest finishers, male and female. The traditional Muddler course also has a competitive team entry.
