AARP Smart Driver

Participants will learn defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws and rules of the road to safely adjust driving to compensate for age-related changes. Persons who complete the course will be issued a Certificate of Completion to be provided to your insurance company for a discount. Please feel free to bring a brown bag lunch to class. All course materials are provided to participants and no tests are involved. Class will be led by AARP instructor, Kati Mole.

Church Security

Representatives of Rockingham County Sheriff's Department will present on trending security information regarding how to secure your church. You will learn about weaknesses your church may have, how to fix them and different strategies that are effective in making sure your church is as safe as it can be from potential threats. Everyone is welcome to attend that might find this information useful.

Beginner Rock Climbing & Rappelling

Join us for a full day of learning to climb, belay, and rappel; ages 12 and older (teens may attend unaccompanied, but their transportation must be provided by a parent or guardian). All technical gear is provided and a personal suggested clothing list and the Medical Form/Participant Agreement will be supplied by WILD GUYde Adventures after registration.

Women's Basketball

The adult women’s basketball season will start in January and run through March. Game days will be on Wednesday nights at John C. Myers Elementary School. We will have 8 teams and a wait list will be available after registration is full.

Back Country Navigation Clinic

An afternoon of learning and practicing map and compass skills out in the George Washington Ntl. Forest; for day-hikers, backpackers, mountain bikers, hunters, scout leaders, and anyone else who likes to wander off the beaten path; ages 14 and older (teens may attend unaccompanied, but their transportation must be provided by parent or guardian); A personal clothing list, Medical Form/Participant Agreement, and driving directions to the activity meetup will be provided by WILD GUYde after registration.

Beginner Wild Caving

Beginner Wild Caving near Bridgewater, VA; an afternoon of learning basic caving safety, underground navigation, and some elementary limestone geology; ages 12 and older (children and teens may attend unaccompanied, but their transportation must be provided by a parent or guardian); all technical gear is provided; a personal suggested clothing list, Medical Form/Participant Agreement, and driving directions to the activity meetup will be supplied by WILD GUYde Adventures after registration.

Coed Volleyball

The winter coed volleyball season will start in January and run through February. Games will be played on Monday nights. Space is limited to the first 8 teams, a waitlist will be created after all spots are filled.
