Town of Broadway

Nestled in the northern part of the County, the Town of Broadway is a charming destination with a long and proud history. To this day, Broadway still has much of its history evident in its buildings. A wide range of older structures illustrate the town’s rich history throughout the 1850s boom as the railroad was extended, the Civil War and the second boom with an upsurge in poultry business in the 1940s. The Town’s John Kline Homestead is one such architectural example where visitors are invited to candlelight dinners featuring food from the period as well as tours and overnight stays. The Town also has two picturesque parks perfect for a picnic that you can easily prepare for at their local farmer’s market open from May to November. And don’t miss visiting Cootes Store Farms where you can pick up farm fresh cherries and apples or a beautiful piece of fine wood craftsmanship.  (link at
