Town of Dayton

While the Town has grown since its early days, there are large portions of the Town of Dayton that stand as they were built in the 1700s. Many visitors start their visit at the Heritage Museum to learn more about the Civil War or about their own connections to early America at their genealogy library. Every year on the first Saturday in October, more than 10,000 people from throughout the region travel to Dayton for the Autumn Days Festival to celebrate the harvest and sample some of the local produce and artisan created crafts.
