Skeleton Festival
Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance is thrilled to host it’s pre-Halloween celebrations, Skeleton Festival! This family-friendly festival will feature trick-or-treating, costume contests, Sip & Stroll, and more as we welcome spooky season with our community.
A community pre-Halloween celebration with activities like trick-or-treating, costume contests for various ages, a pet costume parade, and the "Sip & Stroll" event for adults.

Rocktown Turkey Trot
The Rocktown Turkey Trot is the perfect mix of fun and fitness on Thanksgiving morning (8:30am on Thursday, November 28, 2024). The four mile course is designed with all skill levels in mind - and it's ideal for first-timers and veteran runners alike. The Turkey Trot is a professionally timed event (you'll receive a race bib and chip timing device at packet pickup), but don't let that deter you from coming dressed in your favorite Thanksgiving-themed running gear!
The Gobble Gobble Kids Dash is a can't-miss tradition for kids on Thanksgiving (8:00am on Thursday, November 28, 2024). They'll be energized by the roar of the crowd and feel the freedom of wind in their face as they run through the closed-down streets of Court Square in Harrisonburg. Kids Dash participants will finish prior to the start of the Rocktown Turkey Trot.
Massanutten Fall Festival

Elkton Music at the Marketplace
Join us at the Elkton Downtown Marketplace stage for our new Summer concert series: Music at the Marketplace! Performances will take place on the fourth Thursday of June, July, August, and September. Admission is free! Food trucks will be onsite at each concert.

Massanutten Mountain Harvest Concert
New for 2025, join us on the mountain to kick off the start of Fall Harvest Days at Base Camp!
We've lined up three amazing bands, covering a variety of genres, to keep the good times rolling all day long. But the fun doesn't stop there - enjoy a variety of classic yard games, including giant chess, soccer darts, cornhole, and more. Ice-cold beer, wine, and an array of delicious food options will be available throughout the concert.

Rockingham County Fair

Rock the Ridge was a new summer event in 2024 and with so many positive comments after last year’s event we have decided to continue with the ever-popular Thunderstruck vibe. Portions of the proceeds benefit Massanutten Technical Center Foundation.
Hose Co. 4 Summer Bash & Car Show
Our 4th Annual SummerBash and car show is Saturday August 2nd, 2025. Car show will be from 2-5, with trophies being handed out at 4. There will be 14 different classes. Open to trucks, cars, motorcycles, and jeeps. $15 to register your vehicle for show. Free admission to come and see those in the show.
